I wasn’t going to reblog this gifset because it hurts my heart so much and is every reason why I disliked the explanation of how Sam spent his time while Dean was in Purgatory.

This? This face right here? This is the face of a man who’s entire world just disappeared right in front him. His family is GONE… and not for the first damned time either.

This is not the face of someone who would give up searching for his brother.

I mean Sam watched Dean die on a gabazillion Tuesdays in Mystery Spot. When Wednesday finally came and Dean died again. What happened? Sam went all ruthless, Terminator hunter looking for the Trickster. He gave absolutely NO FUCKS except the one that’d bring Dean back.

The entire time Dean was in Hell and Sam couldn’t get him out, he didn’t give up. Nope he continued going after Lilith and I guarantee you it wasn’t because he didn’t have any other way to pass the time. Nope. It was for Dean.

This past summer I wondered how Sam was going to save Dean and Cas. Because I *KNEW*… Holy shiat. Aw yiss!! Sam Winchester is going to tear a fucking hole to Purgatory himself to get his brother back.

Instead… he got a dog.

I understand Sam wants a normal life but to completely turn his back on Dean (WHO WAS IN PURGATORY!!) to try and get it? Nope. Absolutely not. That approach was off base AND way the hell out of character.

That’s what stuck in my craw, not the Sam/Amelia and living a monsterless life aspect.

I DO NOT hate female characters for the sheer fact that’s what they are. Not in the least. I was excited when we first found out about Amelia because I WANT Sam to have the “normal life” he craves so bad.

Though Sam Winchester… you need to take a long hard look, sir. As much as he wants to walk away, it’s not gonna happen. He’s going to keep hunting, maybe not nearly as much but it’s gonna happen. And he’s gonna need an awesome chick that he’s TRUTHFUL with (I know, I know they’re Winchesters) and who understands what’s up. That’s one of the reasons why I loved Sam/Ruby so damned much. She saw ALL of Sam Winchester even the nasty bits he thinks he can scrub off if he left Hunting.

I doubt we’ll get it but there’s still a tiny piece of me that holds out hope that there was something more to the whole Amelia thing that kept Sam from going after Dean with everything in his freaking being.

Because family may not end with it, but blood is still thicker, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the Winchester brothers.

I felt the need to write this post, because it seems to me that people are still ignorant when it comes to certain matters of actually representing fandom in a respectful manner.

So here we go.

1) Ask Destiel questions

Seriously, you are allowed to ask them, but there are simple ways to ask about Dean and Castiel’s relationship without coming off as some freakazoid who’s only interested in le sex and nothing more aka m/m is just a kink. -.-

We are Destiel shippers, because we care about their relationship. And that’s what a fan should aim for, when he/she/they ask questions.

Good questions

• Misha, do you think Dean will be able to save Castiel this season, or will he try at all?
• I’ve been a fan of Dean and Castiel’s relationship for a while, since it resonates very well with me, especially because I can see myself in one of the characters and their chemistry and powerful bond is very beautiful to watch. So thanks for that Misha. Could you tease at what’s coming up in the season finale for them?
• Do you think, honestly, and seriously. Do you think Dean might have developed feelings for Castiel over the course of the season?
• In terms of sexuality, how do you see Castiel exploring that side of himself, if he ever falls, becomes human. And how will he relate to Dean?
• How much romantic potential do you see in dean and castiel’s relationship? or are they just friends according to your interpretation?

Bad questions

• Misha!!!!! *screams* do you ship destiel
• Pls, tell me will dean and cas fuck this season?
• I’ve been reading this fanfic where destiel becomes canon and cas is showing his wings and oil glands to dean. can we plssss have that in the show
• is destiel cockles fault or is cockles destiel’s fault

Honestly, it’s all about semantics and actually communicating to Misha that you care about their relationship and the romantic potential of said relationship. Sex is still part of it, but it shouldn’t take priority over what they actually feel and how they internalize it. So please keep that in mind, if you want to be taken seriously.

2) And now to the bad part

Here’s a good old fuck you to all the people that tell others to shut up about Destiel.

Instead of living in fanon lala land and treating a m/m relationship as a kink that should not be discussed, you should actually make the effort as a fandom to get rid of the shame policy and discuss m/m relationships in the same way that you do with het relationships at cons. No one bats an eyelash at Dean/Lisa or anyone else for that matter. But as soon as people actually want to talk about Dean/Castiel, other fans tell them to shut up, because they simply project their own issues onto the actors and pretend that they can see inside Misha’s head and know exactly how he feels about them. No, you know shit. So stop shaming fans for being seriously interested in m/m relationships on television. Stop treating these topics as fandom kinks that should stay in fandom. Because you know what? The only thing you reveal is your own embarrassment with m/m topics, because apparently there is this misconception that these relationships are kinks and perversion and just serve as amusement for fandom.

Which, as you might have noticed or not, hurts real people. Real people with real relationships.
